Have you ever thought to yourself, "I love that painting, I just wish it was my horse?"
Well, you aren't alone! Many of my collectors commission special pieces of their own animal(s). The commission process is exciting, and you end up with a piece of art that is extra special to you.
If you're interested in a commission, I'm here to help you every step of the way.

Q: What do people typically commission you for?
A: Many collectors like to commission their own animals. For example their daughter barrel racing, their favorite cow, or a beloved dog. On the other hand some collectors want a painting of wildlife.

What people are saying
I commissioned Megan to do a portrait of our Golden for Christmas last year. She had passed away the year before. I sent a favorite photo and Megan did a wonderful job turning it into a work of art. My husband loved it. The painting captured her likeness and her sweet demeanor, with an added pop of color. I think I'll have to commission one for every fur baby! Megan is also very easy to work with. Highly recommended! The painting is absolutely gorgeous! I love it and everyone I show can't believe how great you captured Rose! |
A talented artist who connects to her work! We love Megan and her beautiful art! We display it proudly in our home! I’d have to walk through my house and count how many pieces of Megan’s I have. I love them all. Each one means so much to me. Some of mine are of our actual horses and those are so special. The color combinations are one of my favorite things. Megan accomplishes incredible use of color and detail. I’m always blown away. |
The ProcessStep 1: If you haven't already talked with me about your commission please fill out the form to the right.
Step 2: Choose photo(s) and size(s). I'm here to help you find the best photo and guide you on sizes, colors, etc. If you are commissioning a wildlife painting, I can provide a photo. I can also come to you to photograph your animal for an additional fee. Step 3: Once we've figured out all the details of your commission I'll put a contract together for you to review and sign. This ensures everyone is on the same page, lays out the expected timeline, your preferences, etc. At this time you will also submit your 50% deposit + art shipping box fee. Step 4: Painting in progress! Paintings typically take 6-8 weeks to complete (from the time started). This can depend on the specifics of each painting. I'll send you photos and updates so you can follow along with the progress of your painting. When the painting is complete I will send you a final photo to make sure you are happy with the finished piece. |

Rush fulfillment may be possible in rare cases, additional fees apply.
My Commitment and Style
Having a piece of art that was created just for you is very special. I promise to approach each project with integrity and care. My greatest desire is for you to love the final piece. It is important to remember that art is subjective and that I am unable to see what you see in your mind, so every commissioned piece is my interpretation of your vision. Please make sure you have viewed some of previous work and feel confident that you will be happy with my interpretation and style.
